I'm nearly there in Chelmsford

This house is a really good size although it may need a re-dec before someone moves in, I would also try and brighten the kitchen up, getting rid of some of the wood pannelling and change the work surfaces should do the trick. This should be fairly straight forward and shouldn;t cost a fortune, you could always try to make a bit of a cheeky offer on the askign price of £184,950 to compensate.

Once done, you could look to rent this out for around £850 pcm, maybe even slightly more depending on activity in the market when it comes available. Even playing it safe you would be looking at a gross yield of 5.5%.

If you would like any more advice at all, please do not hesitate to contact me stephen.frost@martinco.com
